No! We're in Oklahoma. We can't start a story like that.

I reckon y'all ain't gonna believe what I'm fixin' to tell ya...


A bit of history...

​A prairie man met a dusty damsel in a pasture in the middle of no-where. She was plowing a field on her grandfather's tractor and he was working on the irrigation system electric. The 15 year difference in their ages wasn't much of an obstacle. Her family loved him. Exclusively homeschooled; their six children have graduated. Now they're raising the 7th generation of Panhandle Pioneers. We have an author, an artist, a Golden Retriever mom, a rabbit enthusiast and two electrical apprentices. They are all flourishing on the great western frontier.

​Amidst Dust Bowl drought, rascally tornadoes and devastating range fires, they have committed their lives to the Lord YHVH and His Son, Yeshua (Jesus).

I'm Dawnita Fogleman, the dusty damsel, author, and award-winning journalist.

  • I’m creatively crafty & a bit nutty.

  • I sew and enjoy making my own patterns.

  • I hardly ever follow a recipe.

  • I love very OLD books.

Sometimes I struggle carrying Bible, coffee, sewing basket, and feed bucket all at the same time so I commit the Bible to my heart, sip my coffee fast, sew every time I get a chance, and mentoring and discipling our family and others along the way. I’m learning to constantly readjust my priorities and let God direct my days. On the Fogleman Funny Farm every day really is a surprise!
