Biblical Cosmology

I have a friend who homeschools who is planning to do earth science with her children this year. She's making her plans and would like to have something in her curriculum that discusses Flat Earth versus globe theories. I sent her a playlist and she's like ohhhhh... The playlist has 15 videos in it and some are pretty long. So I figured it might be a good idea to make a nutshell video for her and anyone else who might just need a quickie on why people are believing this cRaZiNeSs!

Starting with the word of God.

Whether we realize it or not, we are all starting out with preconceived ideas and notions. Our worldview has more to do with our perspective of our origins and God than what we may think. There are Bible verses that both sides use to "prove" one way or another. When it comes down to it though, nothing "proves" it. You're understanding of the origins of God's Word will color how you see any evidence.

Here are just a handful of verses about how the earth was built on a foundation with pillars and a firmament over it, in an enclosed system with windows and the sun, moon and stars within.

Foundations of the Earth

(which is different than the symbolic/historical meaning of the term “Foundation world”)

No one believes this

It is so important to understand that nobody believes we're on a pancake flying through space. Ignore the "flat earth society"... No one believes that.

Word wide

Civilizations across the world and throughout history have believed in a very similar cosmological construct. Archeologists continue to find advanced technology and architecture from these civilizations. They have a term called "antediluvian" that means "before the deluge" which is just a fancy way of saying "pre-flood". Even the supposed atheists use the term. Fun fact: Most people believed in some form of enclosed system until the late 1800's and the popularity of the evolutionary hypothesis. I refuse to believe that was because they were all stupid.

Constellations and the Solar System

If we are spiraling through space we should not be seeing the same constellations as people thousands of years ago, much less the same constellations in difference seasons of the year. We should see completely different stars when we are on one side of the sun than when we are on the opposite side. Yet, ancient depictions and names of the stars prove we are seeing the exact same ones. Observing a time-lapse video of the night sky shows they are moving around the sky over the top of us. Perspective

As an artist, perspective is something I understand. The vanishing point is key to understanding the difference between something falling over the "curvature" and it just vanishing out of personal line of sight. Take a good camera with a zoom or a set of binoculars and pull that vanishing point right back into sight. My husband has taken countless photos and videos with his P-900 camera of things as far as 75 miles away. According to the curvature formula, that should never be possible. Intercontinental Flight Routes

16 Emergency Landings Proving Flat Earth by Eddie Alencar is an excellent resource. Eddie is from South America, schooled in the USA and now lives with his family in Japan.

Just comparing "official" flight maps and patterns and comparing them to the Gleason Map of 1892 is quite eye opening.

The History of Nasa

Nasa was begun by German men on the wrong side of the last world war, as well as masonic occultists. Besides that, they publish time and again that all of their space images are composites, CGI, or photoshop. The blue marble images are enough to make anyone with critical though question the reality and truth of what they publish.

The Antarctic Treaty

While the nations of this world can agree on so very little, they are all very protective of this chuck of land. On the Gleason Map and other, older maps, it is depicted as a circle around the parameter of the earth. According to Admiral Byrd, it contains much more land and natural resources than are being shared with the general public.

This is by far NOT an exhaustive list of things that can cause inquiry about the shape of the world.

For me, this has been a fun and enlightening study. Living on the Great Plains, it's something I just don't question.
